Description

A no-bake, layered dessert combining angel food cake, tangy key lime cream, and crunchy graham cracker crumble. Refreshing and elegant, perfect for summer gatherings or special occasions.

Ingredients

Full graham crackers
6 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
8 tablespoons salted butter, melted
2 cups heavy cream
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 (14 oz) cans sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup key lime juice
1 tablespoon key lime zest
16 ounces angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
Whipped cream, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine crushed graham crackers, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a bowl.
Press the mixture into a 1/4-inch layer on the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
Whip heavy cream in a chilled bowl until stiff peaks form and set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
Fold in the whipped cream, key lime juice, and zest.
Assemble the trifle by alternating layers of crumble, cake cubes, and lime cream in a glass trifle dish.
Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, chill the trifle overnight.
Substitute graham crackers with crushed digestive biscuits if unavailable.
Use regular limes if key limes are hard to find.
